The Fishing Scene

Fishing pristine Olallie Lake, the largest (238) acres of over 60 lakes in the area, is as close to Heaven as it gets - to hear our fisherman guests tell it. The lake is stocked frequently with legal size as well as 15" - 30" mature rainbow trout. Fishermen come back bragging of the 'Big Ones' landed from rowboat and from shore, by trolling as well as fly and spin casting.

Rainbows in the 5 pound to 17 pound range are not uncommon in Olallie Lake.  And during our peak fishing season of mid-June through July children are almost assured of catching legal-sized rainbows in the 9 to 13 inch range!

A very slow troll with a seasonal fly is a time-honored, highly successful and relaxing method of fishing Olallie.  Lures and bait fishing can also be highly successful.  Your best bet is to stop in at the resort store upon your arrival and ask what has been hot lately.
